Armband tattoos are a popular first tattoo and a great tattoo for those who already have several. They stand out well and make a great conversation piece. They are rich in culture and give honor to our Celtic ancestors. When looking for your design keep in mind that our armband tattoo designs can be altered to include your image or image idea. If you want a design to have a clover, or a dragon, or an Awen symbol we will work with you to ensure that you get the design you want.

Our Celtic armbands were drawn by Shane Clark, a professional Celtic artist who is capable of drawing any type of Celtic art. He loves to draw custom tattoos and designs for people as well as do exclusive designs (that are only used by the person he drew it for).

Finding A Good Tattoo Artist
When looking to have your armband tattooed, make sure to find a tattoo artist that is capable of tattooing the image properly. These tattoos are very difficult and require an artist who has experience with Celtic tattoos. Take the time to call tattoo shops and check if there are any artists there who have experience with Celtic tattooing. Check to see if they have a portfolio, and go into the shop to have a good look at it. When looking at the portfolio, make sure that the lines are clean (meaning that there aren't any large lumps in the lines and that there are no broken lines).

An important part of having your tattoo done is to make sure that you get an artist who won't cross the lines. Celtic knotwork is easy to mess up. Make sure your artist is confident that he/she will not cross any of the lines in the Celtic knotwork tattoo.

Finally, check the shading capabilities of the potential artists. Celtic art needs to be shaded properly so that the lines don't bleed together. Grey wash is a popular way to shade a Celtic tattoo... unless you want it colored. If you find an artist who is capable of doing the design, he/she will bring this to your attention.
